Certificated Flight Instructor

Are you a commercial pilot looking to share your passion of flying with others? Maybe you’re looking for a way to build flight hours while helping new students become trained, capable pilots. We can help you either way. Tim Scheuing has been a CFI more than 2 years and thus is qualified to prepare you for your CFI/CFI-I checkride.

While there are no minimum hourly training requirements specific for CFI, you will need at least 250 total hours, a commercial pilot certificate with instrument rating, and a third class medical (or higher). You’ll also need to do spin training, and finally you’ll need to pass two FAA written tests (one if you’re already a teacher) and receive an endorsement and pass the FAA practical test (checkride).
